Superintendent Adkins congratulates our high school students on their accomplishments in the District Governor’s Cup competition this past Saturday.
Superintendent Adkins comments, “Congratulations Floyd Central High School Academic Team! This team is the 2021 District Future Problem Solving (FPS) Champs, the Quick Recall Champs and the Overall District Champs! Congratulations Kade Scott for placing in the Top 10 in KY in Arts & Humanities! Floyd Central has won the overall district and quick recall for the last four years and has won FPS for the last three years! When you have consistent success, it shows the strength of the program and the students.”
Adkins talks about some outstanding seniors saying, “We also want to comment on a few of these seniors and how they have performed during their high school careers. Kade Scott has placed 1st in Arts & Humanities all four years of high school and 1st in Math for three. Lindsay Caudill has placed 1st in Language Arts all four years. Preston Crase has placed 1st in Social Studies three out of four years and Tabitha Mitchell has placed 1st in Composition three out of four years! We’re very proud of these outstanding young men and women and their impressive records!”
Adkins concludes, ”The top 5 individual students in each content area and the1st and 2nd place teams in Quick Recall and FPS will advance to regional competition. FPS and Composition will compete February 8 and written assessment and Quick Recall will compete February 13. Please join us in wishing our students the best of luck!”
