Food Service Director Dale Pack announces changes to our meal services.
Pack comments, “We have reviewed our meal service procedures and believe it is in the best interest of our students, staff and community members that we make the following changes:
- Meals will be available to pick up on Tuesdays from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM only
- Meals will be free to any child ages 1 to 18
- Parents/guardians can choose to pick up meals from any school, but only from one school per week (meals cannot be picked up at RLC/FCSI)
- Each child will receive 5 breakfasts and 5 lunches at the time of pickup
Pack continues, “We would like to be able to continue our deliveries but it is simply not feasible at this time. We are trying to reduce the number of contacts that our students and staff are potentially exposed to in an attempt to reduce the spread of the virus. We urge any family that is unable to pick up meals to call the school that your child attends to see if there are other avenues available in your area.”
Meals will be delivered Friday, November 6, 2020. Parents or guardians can pick up meals beginning Tuesday, November 10, 2020.
Pack concludes, “We deeply regret having to make these changes for our students but we must be diligent in our steps to reduce the spread of the virus and protect our Floyd County Family as much as we can.”
